With its flat bottom, the Machete is “Queen of the Wave”. Spins, blunts and cool surfing are an integral part of the experience. The slicy stern and extra bow volume make stern squirts, rock splats and pirouettes a breeze.
A radical rocker profile allows the Machete to climb up over big holes, while its fast acceleration gives you confidence in those ‘must make’ moves.
Nothing else matches the Machete.
Standard features include 3 aluminium safety handles, size-adjustable aluminium bulkhead footrest, and front/rear foam support pillars. Creature comforts such as cushioned Sport seat, ratchet-adjusted padded backrest and adjustable padded thigh braces complete the package.

Ideal for Grade 3-4 river runs such as Jeffs Joy (Rangataiki), upper Tongariro, Granity (Buller), Ashley Gorge, Roaring Meg (Kawarau), etc. Also fun in ocean surf, or at man-made whitewater parks like Wero (south Auckland) and Hawea (Central Otago).
The Kaituna and Multi Wave are good paddles for the Machete whitewater kayak.
The FXr or Extrem are suitable PFDs.
The Rhino, Enduro and Strongdeck are all excellent neoprene decks.
Optional extras include a cockpit cover (for transport and storage).
