Mission sea kayak Rudder Kit – upgrade to get better handling in wind, waves and currents.
This lightweight, robust lifting rudder will dramatically improve the handling of a touring kayak. It allows you to easily turn your kayak the way you want to, and to hold a steady course in side winds. Then you can spend your energy on paddling forward, rather than struggling to control your boat!
Suitable for upgrading a touring kayak or to replace a damaged rudder on a sea kayak.
Comes complete with lifting rudder, foot pedals, rudder up/down lines, steering cables, etc.
Can be fitted by any competent DIY person.
Rudder installation service
Beware that fitting a rudder isn’t always the easiest thing to do – if you would like it done for you, then either Mission’s team can install it at time of manufacture or we can retro-fit it later.
