Store closed from 13 - 25 February

My apologies for the inconvenience.

I am currently away volunteering for the Hollyford Conservation Trust, helping check rat/stoat traps and build the Mackenzie bivvy (south end of Big Bay).

After my return on 25 February, I can process orders again.

Cheers, Bruce Conway

Description

Designed for long distance self-supported expeditions, the QK Skua has a low deck profile enabling it to perform extremely well in windy conditions. Its longer hull gives greater speed and allows it to surf waves controllably in a following sea.

The Skua incorporates several new features that ensure maximum safety on the sea, including adjustable thigh braces, paddle holder, rescue system and an easily-reached day hatch behind the cockpit.

Melanie and Max Grant used the Shearwater and Skua sea kayaks when circumnavigating the South Island by sea kayak. “At times there were big seas and rough landings, but our QK sea kayaks handled the conditions perfectly.”
