ZET introduces the Five, the 5th boat in its line-up. Five is an aggressive whitewater boat, gliding nicely over waves and holes, accelerating like a demon, and holding its line without any reduction in speed.
Developed by the ZET team, with help from top paddlers, this kayak brings together all the components a kayaker can wish for in a boat designed for active moves on whitewater. The Five delights proactive whitewater paddlers. It rewards you with an instant reaction to every active paddle stroke. Every eddy carved and hole boofed is bound to bring a smile.
The width and the length of the Five mean that the boat holds its line perfectly and accelerates very quickly. The hull is designed to release well from the water and to be predictable, yet aggressive in gnarly whitewater. A rockered bow and balanced hull with no ‘catchy’ features makes it easy to manoeuvre and sensitive to paddle strokes – an ideal boat for the whitewater race environment.

Ideal for extreme boating on Grade 5-6 rapids and steep creeks such as the Wairoa, Huka Falls (Waikato), upper Kakapotahi, Turnbull, Rangitata Gorge, Waikaia, Monkey Creek (Hollyford), etc. Also fun for ‘no stress’ boating on Grade 3-4 river runs.
The Mohaka and Ergonom Pro are good paddles for the Five whitewater kayak.
The Nevis or Extrem are suitable PFDs.
The Rhino, Enduro and Strongdeck are all excellent neoprene decks.
Optional extras include a cockpit cover (for transport and storage).
